Mask Design is a dreamlike reality, characterized by the absence of a physical person. For designers, it is not the identity that is important but the narrative of the objects, which manifest themselves and arise from a creative process. The projects are characterized by archetypal forms that translate into everyday objects. The objects created by Ricotta Studio are reminiscent of ideas drawn by a cartoon animator. Behind this process there is the simplification of complex shapes, which are subsequently intersected. It is an intense relationship between plastic and elastic materials and the changes that occur when tension or pressure is applied. Oversized proportions and exaggeration are the keywords of contemporaneity regarding fashion and design. Inspired by these new dictates, Ricotta moves away from the lightness of thin lines towards an abundant revolution of them.
