Stool

Alma’s first product in 2008, Estrosa has been its manifesto ever since. Made of anodised extruded aluminium, it combines an essential design with a transversality that makes it suitable for any context.
Although it is inspired by the production process of extrusion, its name also recalls the “whimsical” originality of the seat and backrest profile.

Designed by Setacomincini

Nicola Seta and Marco Comincini, fellow students in Industrial Design at “Politecnico di Milano”, graduated in 2004. During their training years, they absorbed and processed their masters’ influences, which allowed them to work with established designers such as Peter Solomon, Huub Ubbens e Riccardo Blumer, finding, this way, their own design style and solid working method.

They decided to found the Rizoma Design Studio together, creating a collaboration rooted in their shared vision of design. Recentely, the name of the studio was changed into SetaComincini. However, this has not affected either the spirit nor the way of approaching to every new challenge, characteristics that allowed them to achieve their first successes.
